What is Epicutaneous Testing?
Epicutaneous testing (also known as patch testing) is a gold-standard method to assess a product’s potential to cause irritation or allergic reactions. In this test, the product is applied to small patches placed on the skin of volunteers and left for 24–48 hours under controlled conditions.

Dermatest® Protocol on Atopic Skin
Dermatest®, a leading German dermatological institute, conducted this test on 30 human subjects with confirmed atopic-prone (eczema-sensitive) skin—one of the most reactive skin types.

How does it relate to skin safety?
If a product causes zero irritation or allergic response even on highly sensitive, eczema-prone skin, it demonstrates exceptional tolerance. Dermatest® rated TeaPep products as “excellently” (Zero Irritation), meaning they are clinically proven safe for the most vulnerable skin—including babies and those with chronic sensitivity.

✅ Passing epicutaneous testing on atopic skin = maximum assurance of gentleness and safety.
